Help Make Public Policy

Sprawl doesn't just happen overnight, nor of its own accord. Sprawl development has been and continues to be fostered, in part, by policies and regulations based on early- to mid-20th century perceptions and concerns. Today, many of the concerns of 50 years ago have been addressed or by-passed by changing society and technology. As we look to the future, there are new challenges to tackle, such as how to rebuild a sense of belonging within our communities, how to ensure fair and affordable access to needed services, how to provide housing for our diversifying workforce, and how to restore the ecological vitality of the Chesapeake Bay.

Whether we meet those challenges successfully will depend on the laws and policies in place - it is your voice and your vote that implements the policies for our future.
